How Pricing Works

Hourly Shop Rate

$95/hour

Standard fabrication, repair, and small custom work performed in our Portland shop.

Project-Based Quote

Fixed

Most custom fabrication and installation projects are quoted at a fixed price after consultation. No surprises.

Mobile Service Call

$150/visit

On-site welding and repair within 30 miles of Portland. Includes the first hour of labor.

All quotes include materials, labor, and standard finishes. Prevailing wage, rush scheduling, and travel beyond 30 miles are quoted separately.

Common Questions

Do you offer free estimates?

Yes. Initial consultations and written estimates are free for projects within 30 miles of Portland. For larger commercial work, we may schedule a paid site visit that is credited back to the project if you proceed.

How long does a typical project take?

Small repairs are usually completed within 3–7 business days. Custom fabrication averages 2–4 weeks. Structural steel and large installations are scheduled based on scope — most run 4–10 weeks from approved drawings.

Are you insured?

Yes. We carry $2M in general liability coverage and full workers' compensation. Certificates of insurance are available on request for any project.

Do you work outside of Portland?

Absolutely. We regularly work across Cumberland and York counties and travel statewide for larger projects. Mobile service calls beyond 30 miles carry a modest travel fee.

Can you match existing ironwork?

In most cases, yes. Bring us a photo, a sample, or the original piece and we can match profile, patina, and finish. Historic reproductions are one of our specialties.
